Creative Arts Promotion promotes the finest jazz artists from around the world under the branding of J-Night and Hull Jazz Festival.

The Hull International Jazz Festival was founded in 1992 and household jazz names such as the Mingus Big Band, Lee Konitz, James Taylor Quartet, Pee Wee Ellis, Stacey Kent, Charlie Mariano, Courtney Pine, Cleo Laine, Billy Cobham, Soweto Kinch and Jazz Jamaica All Stars are just a few of the important world artists that have been presented.

Creative Arts Promotion have been working with Dune Records and York City Council to present seasons in York at the Theatre Royal. Artists include Jazz Jamaica, Soweto KInch, Denys Baptiste, Nu Troop, Abram Wilson and Andrew McCormack.

Other important jazz artists presented at York Theatre Royal include Billy Cobham and Asere, Clare Teal, Dennis Rollins with the North Star Steel Orchestra, Courtney Pine, Stacey Kent and the South African Gospel Singers.

In addition, we work with Hull Music Support Services, City of York Music Advisor and Music4U (the Humber Youth Music Action Zone) to present educational work with young people.

Creative Arts Promotion are pleased to be associated with Jazz Yorkshire, a new organisation that will celebrate and help develop jazz activity in the region.
