Creative Arts Promotion provided the central administration for the National Association for Literature Development (NALD) from 2002 to 2005. NALD is the professional body for all those involved in writer and reader development providing information, training and networking opportunities for over 200 members.
In 2000 Creative Arts Promotion were commissioned by the City of York to produce a literature strategy for the city, which resulted in the creation of Read, Write, York within the library service of York City Council.
Creative Arts Promotion directed the Ilkley and Hull Literature Festivals between 1992 and 1998 presenting writers and artists such as Seamus Heaney, Linton Kweso Johnson, Benjamin Zephaniah, Ted Hughes, Carol Ann Duffy, Andrew Motion and many others.
